"I wish that the whole world could fit into Harry's, because it’s just a
nice place to be!”

February 24, 2010"Just wanted to send appreciation to Harry's and a particular server we had the pleasure of meeting Saturday night. Her name is Autumn. Tall, slender, blonde young lady. Her service was impeccable. She was elegant and well spoken.
This was the first time I had ever been to Harry's. the second for my future husband. How romantic, beautiful and elegant the restaurant was! And the special (rack of lamb) was to die for. Oh my goodness; the oysters were the best tasting oysters I have ever had.
Thanks for a great night. Never knew Manhattan had such a wonderful restaurant. We just moved here from Memphis, and I can assure you something: It is more classy than the infamous Peabody Hotel in Memphis."

"My co-worker and I had been in town for training for four days when while looking around downtown spotted "Harry's". We always try to find "local" places when traveling and had to try it. We were treated like family (the ones you love), history explained, waited on with a smile and had the best food ever!! Thank you, we will pass the word to all we meet."

"While living in Manhattan, Harry's was the place of luxury for me to dine. Favorite birthdays, celebrating promotions . . . anything truly special was to be held at Harry's. When my husband and I had a small private ceremony for our wedding before the large and public "dog and pony show" version for families, our first meal together as husband and wife was at Harry's, and then it was off to the Bed and Breakfast on Houston Street. It is still my favorite restaurant even though we've spent time in three states and four cities since then."

"On Friday evening, 25 July 2008, my husband and I were in Manhattan attending a family reunion. We had decided a few weeks ahead to celebrate my birthday early with dinner at Harry's. We had enjoyed your hospitality once before several years ago for the same occasion. We originally chose Harry's because my grandfather used to work for the Wareham Ice Company. We live in Oklahoma but frequent Dallas restaurants quite often, and I can honestly say, you did not dissapoint us. It was one of the best dinners we have had.
We had the crab cakes and the special of the evening, citrus crusted halibut. They were both mouth watering. I don't know if you publish a recipe book, but I would be so grateful to have those two recipes.
I look forward to dining at Harry's any time in the future we are in Manhattan. Keep up the good work and thank you for such an enjoyable evening and birthday dinner."

"All of the Girls in my family have a Sisterhood Weekend. In 07 it was in Manhattan. On Saturday evening we dined at Harry's. What a great experience. There were 18 of us and the service was great, and the food was even better. We are coming to Manhattan again and will be dining at Harry's. We can't wait."

"My last visit to Manhattan was back in March of this year and I dined at your establishment and had two very great meals and some fine cocktails. Additionally, the service was outstanding and very friendly and I'm looking forward to visiting your place again the week of July 7th. I had the salmon special one evening and living here in the Washington, DC area I've yet to find a better dish."
Thanks and looking forward to visiting again,

"My husband suprised me with a romantic dinner for us at Harry's. We celebrated our 9th anniversary and it was the perfect ending to our special day. Our table server (I can't remember her name-and I'm so sorry), but she was just a sweetheart and so friendly. There is no other restaurant in the area that compares to Harry's. We're a military family and it was such a treat to stay in the community and enjoy a really nice ambiance."

“What a wonderful time my family and I had dining at Harry's, on the evening my grandson, Emerson Turbiville, was to be baptized. The food, staff, service and right down to the music, was very pleasing, they put all eleven of our family, OVER THE MOON. I expect to return to Manhatten again some day, and look forward to my return to Harry's. Thank you, again.”

“We are staying here to-night. A lovely hotel. We have 75 miles more of cement, then for the gravel. If it isn't too bad, we may reach Fort Collins Sunday night....”

“I just want to say thank you for today. Everything was perfect and the staff was incredible. It is so very difficult to find good customer service and yours exceeded “good” by far. I can not think of a place that I would rather honor our special school counselors! You can count on us every year about this time. Thanks again!”

“Hi! I just wanted to say thanks for a great dinner - my boyfriend has been stationed at Ft. Riley for the past few months and I came in to visit him for Thanksgiving weekend. We were told that Harry's was *the* place to go, and I have to say, it was fantastic! Thank you for allowing us to create such a great memory before he heads off to his deployment!”

“On October 15th, at the end of our biennial plains road trip, my wife and I dined (again) at Harry's. We met in Manhattan in the late 60s and, ever since, have returned to play golf, relax and eat at your restaurant... table 8, please.. with a view of the beautiful building next door. This trip, I noticed one of your staff wearing a "Harry's" t-shirt and, after dinner, inquired about purchasing one. The evening's manager took the time to go to the basement, find one, and offer it to me as a gift. What can I say except.. Thank You Very Much. He was very gracious. We have never been disappointed with our dinners there and my only "road trip complaint" is that my wife will not allow me to take all of my meals there; even though she is a huge fan of your lobster martini. Your service has always been exceptional and, while I live in a resort area with many fine restaurants, the ambience of Harry's cannot be matched. Thanks again for the t-shirt and we look forward to our next visit.”

“I worked at the hotel for about 3 years in the mid 60s. Great memories, marvelous characters who resided there. Late at night, I would sneak through the basement, go through the old part still covered with flood mud, and up through the back into the kitchen. Great goodies awaited-cold bacon, chicken salad, etc. to make sandwiches with. The 11pm-7am shift was very eventless, so sandwiches were in order. You could basically sleep from midnight to 5am without being disturbed. Had to wait for Mr. Wareham to go to his room on the 2nd floor before sleeping or fixing something to eat. He used to watch TV with us in the back lobby. No one was ever allowed to go into his room, not even the maids. Too many other recollections to list. What a classy place then, and judging by the pictures on the website, it continues to be a classy place. Hopefully the tradition and history will continue for years to come.”

“I recently enjoyed dinner at your restaurant. We are from Wichita and my husband took me there for our 25th wedding anniversary. I enjoyed a "salad" that was tomatoes, mozzarella cheese with an olive oil dressing. It was delicious. May I have the receipe? Thank you!.”

“I wanted to thank you for such a wonderful dining experience on Saturday night. I can’t believe that in the five years I lived in Manhattan, I had never dined at Harry’s. I was really impressed with the atmosphere, service, and quality of the food. Best of Luck!”

“I was a student at Kansas State in the early 90s and had the pleasure of dining at Harry’s several times during those years. Each experience was memorable, the food delicious, and the atmosphere beautiful and relaxing. My last two years I lived in an apartment in the Wareham, as well. What a unique and wonderful place to live! Thank you for all the great memories.”

“We recently entertained two nationally recognized architects who were speaking at the KSU College of Architecture, one from San Francisco and one from Portland, Oregon. We always expect the best at Harry’s and we were not disappointed. Our guests, accustomed to the best culinary experiences, gave Harry’s rave reviews. The filets were fabulous and the service wonderful. The staff was kind enough to have some special wines available for our guests as well. The evening was complete with wonderful desserts. Thanks for your continued excellence.”
